Zaab Real Thai Restaurant – Authentic Thai Cuisine in Altamont, NY

I absolutely adore this place!! The ambience is cute, the food is top notch (some of the best we’ve had locally) and the server is SO kind and attentive. The experience differentiates this place and the location is super convenient. Our favorite new go-to spot! We’ve done dine in (various nights of the week) and take-out: every experience was spot on.

Chicken Panang Curry and Chicken Tom Kay soup were both great! Taste fresh and flavorful. Definitely would recommend.

Absolutely fabulous! I spoke with the employees about their protocols for gluten free. They were very knowledgeable and pointed out the items on the menu to avoid. Food was so good! Service was attentive. Prices were moderate. Can’t wait to return.

This food is amazing. Hands down the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. I had the mango pineapple red curry and ate every single bite. The iced Thai tea was delicious as well. The only photos I have is my empty bowl and my tea. I was so enjoying my meal I forgot to take a photo.

Visiting Albany and found this gem. Soup could have used just a little more heat. Drunken noodles were an 11 out of 10 which is why 4 stars on food 5 over all. Thai iced tea was excellent.

This was the second time we had takeout. We had chicken red curry and chicken mango curry. Onky complaint was there was not enough rice for both meals. Food was delicious and the packaging for takeout is so well done. We will be back.

I stopped in for takeout and ordered the duck soup and shrimp roll—both were amazing! My order was ready in just 10 minutes, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. The duck soup was amazing—rich, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The shrimp roll was light, crispy, and perfectly done. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, even for a quick pickup. Definitely one of the best Thai spots around—I’ll be back for sure!

Wow! We wanted to try this place as soon as we saw that a new Thai restaurant was going to be opening here under new ownership. Our first meal was great— some of the best Thai food we’ve had locally. The spring rolls, Pad See Ew, and Drunken Noodles were all very tasty and beautifully plated. (Be warned that the Drunken Noodles at “medium” spice level were pretty fiery!). The Thai iced teas were perfect— not too sweet like at some places. They fixed up the dining area and it’s now sleek and airy. They only opened yesterday but seem to be off to a busy start with dine in and take out. Our server was very friendly and said his family owns it. Looking forward to many more good meals here!
